- Conduct comprehensive analysis of project drawings and specifications to extract quantifiable data for estimation purposes.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project scopes and budgets that align with overall project goals.
- Identify and assess potential risks and cost-saving opportunities, providing recommendations to enhance project profitability.
- Maintain and update a database of historical costs and performance metrics to inform future estimation processes.
- Prepare and present detailed bid proposals, ensuring clarity and transparency for clients and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather cost data and validate estimates against market trends.
- Utilize advanced estimation software tools to streamline the estimation process and improve accuracy.
- Review and analyze change orders, providing timely estimates for additional work as required.
- Stay current with industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance the quality of cost estimates.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering , ensuring a strong foundation in engineering principles.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical estimation within the construction sector.
- Strong analytical skills to dissect complex project specifications and produce reliable cost estimates.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, integrating estimation with project timelines and budgets.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering relationships with stakeholders and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex estimates clearly to clients and team members.
- Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring precision in calculations and adherence to quality standards.
